Thirsty Thursday Roll Call
Sorry Nicole: no advice on the thirst item. :-( Just keep drinking ... maybe some fruit juice instead of the vitamin water?? I saw Liz adds lime/orange etc but i'm with you and need more flavor so I add fruit juice to 'sweeten' the water . (100% only for me though).
I am in my second day of shifting back to workouts in the morning. I love it so much more than night time!!! However last night I started to feel a little blah. Off and on. I know there is a guy here at work who just had a bad stomach virus so gosh I hope I'm not catching it. icky icky.
Snow is suppose to come tonight and I'm super excited. I'm all for Snow but veto ice. :-)
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all - hope Jason feels better soon. A lot of people have an upper respitory thing that is tough to kick.
I'm at work - lots to do today and that's good because it makes the day go by quickly and keeps me from grazing.
Nephew is making dinner today - took a london broil out for him to do in the crockpot along with potatoes, carrots, onions, etc. Figure since he's home and likes to cook might as well utilize those talents. Also have him trying to get the rest of the outdoor decorations down - we haven't had them on but haven't been able to take them down because of the weather, so hopefully he'll get that stuff in and put away today.
Tonight I'm going for a hair cut and color - my hair is longer now than it's been in 30 years, and I'm getting used to it and liking it. I have 2 styles tucked away in my wallet to show my stylist and see what she thinks - one is a bob and the other is a long 'shag' (for those of you *****member shag haircuts!). Both are really cute but want to see which one requires less maintenance and will work with my hair. Wish me luck!
And that's it for me today - tonight will be along night at the stylist since I'm going for a total refurb - color, highlights, cut - just hope to get out of there and home before the snow starts.
Oh by the way, have I mentioned lately that I HATE WINTER AND SNOW??
Kathy

Nicole,
Do you normally drink what you are supposed to? Because I find when I fall short of intake of decaf drinks, I suffer in the same fashion and from Sept until June, I have issues with water intake, so I have sought out decaf teas that work like a charm. . . latest being a Celestial Bing Cherry one. . .
Well I just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello. . . work is busy, home life situation is draining, but I am taking the action necessary to have the cause of the drain ousted and hoping that it will not have to be done through legal channels, but we shall see. . .
Wishing all the best there is today and for those of us facing challenges, I wish you peace amidst the storm that can be part of daily living.
Hugs, Laureen

Nic, I do have "thirsty" days just the same way I have "hungry" days. The other day I had my protein shake, a large decaf coffee, and a 32 oz. powerade zero all before 10 a.m.
Today is my travel day to come home to PA after 5 weeks in FL. I leave with mixed feelings - I am missing home and my dog, and will be glad to get there and tackle some things I want to do in the new year.
But I won't miss this weather! And I get to come back in a month for a shorter visit - meeting my daughter and 3 grandchildren here for a week or so!
I will need to work a good bit of the weekend (Saturday especially) to get some presentations organized for next week. And of course, I will be greeted by snow late tonight and into Friday. Hoping for good flights and no delays. My connect is in Detroit, so at least if there is a weather delay there, I can prevail upon my children to come rescue me!

Good morning Nic - I have no idea why you are getting more and more thirsty - Have you had your kidney's checked recently?
I am at school and have a normal day with the students. Actually teaching and getting them ready for a NORMAL test -you know -one that actually tests what I have taught! Strange phenomenon!
Larry is COMPLETELY fine. He told me more of the PGW explosion story last night and I am shocked and greatful that he walked away without even a scratch. He was in the street about three houses from the one that exploded. He heard a whoosh sound, he said it was like someone sucked the air in, and for some reason he had the wherewithall to turn away from the whoosh and instantly the explosion. When he turned around he saw the roof of the house still heading upward. He said it was then he got a bit nervous. Just then?!?! Man - if I had walked into that neighborhood to smell what they smelled, I might have quit then and there and said, "yup - going home...." Although there was a very sad casualty and some very serious injuries, it is amazing how well the Philadelphia Police, Fire and Medics worked to get the residents to a safe place in just the right time. I am again so proud to be married to a hero.
ANd being that I rarely see him, I decided that I was going to stay home last night in lieu of the Barix meeting to be with my family. I hope the meeting was meaningful and fun and that you all didn't miss me TOO much (HA HA HA). And I am glad that I did - we had one of the most wonderful conversations we have had in a long time with laughter and meaning. Always good to reconnect with the person you pledge your life to sharing. OK - enough sap......
After school today I have an ENT appointment, which means I can make NO OTHER plans because it usually means that I will be in the office for several hours. Its a good thing I really like this doctor.....Again, no pool for me. tonight, our DJ is coming over to discuss Bat Mtizvah things and then Larry heads back into the trenches and I get to deal with the lovely children! (Hope mine are home tonight, not Larry's!)
Happy Thursday y'all....bring on the snow! :)
